Course Overview

Yoga, is one of the six Darshanas, (A system of a unique philosophical view) of the Hindu Dharma. It means to "see" or to "experience" a unique perspective on the nature of reality, human existence and a definitive path to liberation. Sage Patanjali codified the entire philosophy into a single treatise comprising of 4 chapters and 196 Sutras (Very Concise Statements).  In 2009 Ravi Ravindra wrote his commentary on these Sutras, which was well received across the globe for his unique approach. In the online format of this course, recorded recently, he explores the Sutras sequentially, but as twenty unique lessons, elucidating the wisdom contained within. You will learn practical suggestions for cultivating mental clarity, inner stability, and self-awareness.  Whether you are new to the Sutras or revisiting them for deeper insights, this course offers a very flexible engagement which is totally self-paced. You get access to the entire content of the book and all the lessons which help you see the wisdom contained in these complex and terse Sutras.

Pratyaksh - Direct Seeing

Each Sutra is explained in the book and Ravindra offers further perspectives, fresh from his won experience of having lived the Sutras, one at a time.

Viveka - Right Understanding

Collating the related Sutras together into a lesson and discussing them, helps to bring together a wisdom that is lost in individual meanings.

Abhyasa - Practice in life

Each lesson has a personal task to try and that helps to crystallise and transfer his wisdom to each seeker, as they spend time listening to the lessons and trying the exercise.
